Sometimes I find the best thing is just to grab your camera and get out there, go for a wander and shoot. Too often I find myself staring at the ‘to do’ list for the day and the thought of tackling those items that have been carried across over for the last 6 months fills me with dread. What better way to validate further procrastination with a walk through Lincoln with the camera capturing the many gorgeous architectural offerings it has to offer and keep those items running over on the ‘to do’ list for the next 6 months. In a further effort to validate this walk and the shunning of my responsibilities, I promised myself that I would write a blog post on the walk and eventually actually add the results to my website and so here we are.
Headphones charged, camera and tripod over the shoulder and an audiobook locked and loaded I got dropped off by the building that is synonymous with Lincoln and its history - its stunning gothic cathedral. With little plans other than to wander its streets like a lost dog and discover Lincoln’s architectural gems I set off to do just that.
21,224 steps later and I have completed my task of putting off till another day the boring jobs that seem to dominate the running of a business. The following imagery is a selection of some of the shots that I eventually got around to editing. A blend of new and old architecture that caught my eye as I made my way through Lincoln. Hope you enjoy.
